John Haner credits these sections of Air Fence Bike with saving his life in Turn 8a at Texas World Speedway. The corner is also known as Ryan's Corner after Ryan Smith, who died in a crash there in 1999, before the Air Fence was deployed by the Roadracing World Action Fund.
